On August 28th, representatives from Eimur (a collaborative project of the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, and Climate, Landsvirkjun, SSNE, SSNV, Norðurorka, and Orkuveita Húsavíkur) met with us and toured the Textile Center.
On September 11th, six students from the Textile Department of the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts, along with department head Margrét Katrín Guttormsdóttir, visited the Textile Center and TextileLab. They will return for a one-week study trip at the end of November.
That same day, we met with experts from Novia University of Applied Sciences and Fibershed Finland, Heidi Barman-Geust and Ulrika Dahlberg, who work on projects related to local production and natural materials.
Next week, we are expecting the EU Ambassador, who is traveling around the country with the Icelandic Research Fund, Rannís, as they familiarize themselves with projects that have received funding from EU funds.
