The Textile Center residency housing also includes two three-bedroom houses located right next to Kvennaskólinn. The houses were designed by Icelandic architect Guðrún Jónsdóttir, who was inspired by the Danish architectural style, in the early 1970s.
Árbraut 33 is newly renovated and can be rented as a whole or as separate rooms. The house features three bedrooms (1 double, 2 single), kitchen, spacious living room, two bathrooms, laundry room and garden with stunning views of river Blanda and the ocean. House 33 is well suited for smaller groups (4 people max.), or artists looking for a little more privacy and comfort. Artists have access to communal living space and work facilities in Kvennaskólinn. Please contact residency@textilecenter.is for more information.
