Distributed Consortium Meeting in Blönduós, 24.-27. október 2022
From October 24 - 27, we welcomed our CENTRINNO colleagues from IAAC, Innova FP and Poblenou Urban District (Barcelona), Volumes (Paris), Au Fil du Geste and Fab Lab On L'Fait (Geneva) and Reinwardt Academy (Amsterdam) in Blönduós for the Distributed Consortium Meeting. This year's fall meeting was taking place in three different locations simultaneously, in Paris, Milan and Blönduós.
On the agenda in Iceland were workshops led by the Centrinno work package leaders, researchers from the University of Iceland and the Textile Center pilot team. For our workshop "How to build an innovation hub in rural Iceland", we invited representatives from the municipality government to participate, including the new mayor of Húnabyggð, Pétur Arason.
The program also included site visits to Kvennaskólinn and the Textile Center's TextileLab, Ístex Wool Washery, the Textile Museum in Blönduós, a guided tour around the old part of town, the Ós residency & Fabricademy joint art exhibition at the Blönduós Sports Center, dinner at Brimslóð Atelier courtesy of Húnabyggð municipality and a visit of Kidka Wool Factory in Hvammstangi.
Thank you everyone who came to visit our pilot site, attended the meeting and contributed to the workshops - we had a great time and hope it was an enlightening and interesting week for you all!
